What do you know? What do you know about football betting?
Playing away favourites of the odds-on market
Recently, I looked at the odds-on favorites playing
at home. It's time to find out how plays
away.
Even the best teams can have problems when they play
away.
The odds are not enough to convince the punter that
the outcome is what they expected. Big time bolaft.
Premiership.
As yet, no games have offered odds between 1.01 and
1.25. The odds range of 1.26 to 1.51 has a
fantastic return of 75% but only from 4 games.
All three of the ranges between 1.51 and 2.25 were
disappointing. The returns were 50 %, 12,5% and
25,0% respectively. There were only nine
winners out of 30 games.
The overall results of the 1.76 to 2,00 and 2.01-2,25
games are disappointing. Only 4 winners out of 20 games have been successful.
Overall, the picture is not very pretty. So far, only 21,9% games have ended in a away
victory. Below average.
Only Braziliero and La Liga Portugese (20.8%) have
lower returns.
Spanish Primera.
The odds-on shots do very well. The four ranges of odds that fall either within or above
range.
1.01 to 1.25 three out of three for 100%
7.78% of 77.78% for 1.26 to 1.50%
If you get 100%, then 1.51 to 1,75 is the right range.
1,76 to 2,00 1 in 2 is 50%
Cold numbers don't tell us much, but thirteen winners in 16 games are not to be taken lightly. In fact, the first seven ranges do extremely well. Only when the prices go above 2,75 do away teams really have a problem. These points are obvious.
Italy, Serie "A".
Only 11 teams have been successful so far in this season. Only four teams have achieved success. Leave Alone is my advice.
German Bundesliga.
There are a lot of away teams with high odds.
The heavy hitters do get a decent return.
There were five winners out of seven games between
1.51 and 2,00, or 72%.
France Division 1,
There are very few away betting sides. There is not enough information to be used.
Portugal La Liga
There are 18 games between 1,01 and 2,00, with 10 winners in total. The best results are between 1.01 and 1.50, where 100% of the games have been won.
Dutch Eredivision.
Here, 18 of the 35 odds are winning. The best odds are 1.25 to 1.5 (0 from 11) and 1,76 to 2.0 (0 from 12).
Irish Premier.
Two odds-ranges are particularly notable in the
group of odds. Both the 1.51 to 175 and the
1.76 to 2.00 ranges OVER-PERFORMED, with 66.67 and 52.33 respectively.
Also, the season from 2.01 to 2.25 was a success with
a return of 60.0%.
Braziliero.
Disasterous. Seven away teams won at odds of 7 to 1 in 23 matches. Only six wins from 21 matches was incredible. It's not what you would expect from the best league in South America.
America MLS.
Fewer than a few games are required to qualify.
Results of four winners out of seven. The results of 4 winners from 7.
The rest can be forgotten.
What Do You Know Pt 6 contains the tabled comparisons that you can use as a reference.
The next time, I'll look at ODDS/PRICES to try and make sense of them.
Happy Christmas and a very prosperous 2011 to everyone.
